Senior Mechanical Engineer Aerospace

Work closely with mechanical, optical, structural, thermal, and systems engineers.
Provide technical support and guidance to project team members.
Engage with local and international suppliers to ensure quality, compliance, and delivery adherence.
Lead the design and development of high-precision optomechanical systems for space applications.
Produce complex 3D CAD models and high tolerance mechanical drawings.
Evaluate proposed designs for manufacturability, reliability, and performance.
Conduct tolerance, sensitivity, and stability analysis across environmental ranges.
Oversee the integration of optical and mechanical components and ensure precise alignment.
Analyse test data and adjust designs to ensure system performance meets specifications.
Coordinate with cross functional teams to meet engineering milestones.
Manage documentation, resources, and timelines for mechanical and optomechanical activities.
Prepare and present project status reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Implement relevant quality procedures to comply with industry standards for space systems.
Stay current with advancements in mechanical and optomechanical engineering for space.
Identify and implement improvements in design processes and methodologies.

Work closely with experts

Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optomechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical or optomechanical engineering.
Experience in the aerospace or space industry is a strong plus.
If no aerospace background, strong mechanical design experience will still be considered.
Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.
Professional proficiency in English
