Job Title: Advanced Network Engineer
Location: Canillejas, Madrid (Initially 100 on-site, later hybrid)
Engagement Type: Technical Assistance
On-Call Requirement: Yes, compensated
About the Role
Client is seeking a highly experienced Advanced Network Engineer to join our team in a key role responsible
for designing, maintaining, and enhancing complex enterprise network infrastructures. This position involves
working in a fast-paced, hybrid IT environment with a strong focus on security, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and support network infrastructure changes across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Firewall systems.
Design and transform complex network environments in line with industry best practices.
Monitor, maintain, and optimize network performance with minimal service interruption.
Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate network and security vulnerabilities.
Execute access provisioning and deprovisioning tasks for infrastructure and applications (additions,
modifications, deletions).
Conduct deep analysis and testing of complex network issues and configurations.
Propose and implement enhancements, automation, and optimization strategies to boost system stability
and performance.
Collaborate effectively with internal infrastructure, security, and cloud teams.
Essential Requirements
Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in designing, integrating, and supporting enterprise network infrastructures.
8+ years of hands-on experience in network operations and troubleshooting.
Strong expertise in routing and switching technologies including:
o Routing Protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS
o Switching Protocols: STP, VLAN, LLDP
o Technologies: MPLS, VPN, VoIP, Multicast
Proven operational expertise in resolving complex network security and routing issues in large multi-
vendor environments.
Advanced proficiency in SD-WAN technologies.
Solid, demonstrable experience working with Netskope in production environments.
Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and firewall systems in corporate environments.
Experience in hybrid and/or cloud-first infrastructures.
Capable of designing and deploying perimeter security solutions.
Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written).
Additional Information
Location: Initial phase requires 100 on-site presence at the client s office in Canillejas (Madrid).
Transition to hybrid mode after onboarding.
On-Call Support: Participation in an on-call rotation is required and will be compensated.
