Technical skills required:
Experience of 3 years in a position with programming on-board space software
Professional experience programming in C/C++
Fluent level of English, oral and written
A vacancy for an Application Software developer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Madrid. You will join the Avionics Engineering team in Spain (TSEAE) to work on the development of on-board software for Satellites. You will start working in the development of flight software of the PAZ2 instrument. PAZ2 mission is the flagship of Spanish EO program. It is a radar satellite covering as never done before wide swath with high resolution images.
You will benefit of being part of a multidisciplinary team in Madrid covering all functional avionics disciplines.
Description of the job
You will be in charge of developing and validating the software modules within an international team. A period of some months at the beginning will require a collocation in Friedrichshafen (Germany) working with Airbus colleagues.
The small collocation period (2-4 months) is done to get used to the development environment and rest of team member. After this period work will be done from Madrid Airbus site.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include the following:
For each module: write the technical specifications, perform the detailed design, code and run the unit and integration tests in accordance with the applicable standards,
Define and formalize interfaces with other modules and products to ensure parallel development,
Participate to the definition of the development and validation strategy,
Write the testing plan and the associated procedure,
Run the validation test against the specification, Deliver the modules for final integration and delivery
