Software Test Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our software engineering team. In this role, you will proactively drive the quality of our mobile applications and their back-end systems through manual and automated testing. You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure our products meet our standards for reliability, performance, and user experience.
Heres a little taste of your challenge:
- Build, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks.
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile applications and their back-end services, covering both manual and automated as well as compatibility testing.
- Identify and track bugs, regressions and inconsistencies, working with development teams and product owners to resolve issues efficiently.
- Ideally design and conduct performance, API and back-end testing, including database validation using SQL.
- Participate in agile development processes, contributing to refinement sessions, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, share insights, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate proactive reporting of test results, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with test automation tools and frameworks, mobile technologies, and QA methodologies.
Who are you?
- Proven experience in manual and automated testing, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in complex requirements.
- Experience with continuous integration (CI) tools and pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and device farms.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test scripting.
- Proficiency with test automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of API Testing, QA methodologies, test planning, bug tracking (in JIRA), and version control systems (Git).
- Fast learner, adaptable to new tools and technologies, and eager to continuously improve.
- Prior experience in performance and security testing is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile team setting.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly report findings and collaborate in a team environment.
