Job Title: Senior AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Hybrid (Madrid Las Tablas)
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to support infrastructure services for a major cloud-based
initiative. The successful candidate will bring solid hands-on experience in AWS environments, Infrastructure as Code
(IaC), and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible. You will play a key role in deploying, optimizing, and
managing secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
Design, provision, and manage AWS infrastructure using best practices.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Develop automation scripts and provisioning workflows with Ansible and Bash.
Manage cloud operations, including IAM, networking,security compliance, data protection, monitoring, and cost
optimization.
Implement and manage containerized environments using Docker, ECR, and ECS.
Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and resolve infrastructure-related incidents.
Monitor and improve operational efficiency with a focus on automation and resilience.
Participate in planning system capacity and scaling based on usage metrics and forecasts.
Support Agile development teams by enabling DevOps capabilities and CI/CD pipelines.
Maintain documentation for operational procedures, policies, and cloud governance.
Stay current with new AWS offerings and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Handle cloud service requests, incidents, and changes using ticketing systems.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure engineering.
Strong background in Linux systems and shell scripting (Bash).
Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and/or Ansible.
Practical experience in configuring and operating AWS services (GCP experience is a plus).
Understanding of compliance standards (PCI, GDPR, ISO, DSS).
Familiar with Docker and container orchestration in AWS environments.
Experience working in Agile teams and fast-paced environments.
Desirable Skills
Familiarity with ServiceNow, JIRA, or other ITSM/ticketing tools.
AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate or Professional.
Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and microservices architectures.
Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Soft Skills
