Asset Management Data Ops Team Lead

As an Asset Management Data Ops Team Lead, you will lead functionally a team of Data Operators who play a pivotal role in managing and ensuring the quality and usability of data used in our asset management department. You will ensure team meets SLAs, organize and balance agents work and own improvements roadmap.
You will act as a key interface between internal clients, and the data management teams, gathering and scoping out requirements related to data quality and ensuring their successful implementation across data pipelines. Your role will involve collaborating closely with technical data stewards and various stakeholders to maintain a high level of data integrity and support efficient data-driven decision-making processes. You will be responsible for the creation of gold copy data across various data domains on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact in the team and advocate for internal clients regarding their data requirements, issues, and concerns.
Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and translate them into clear and actionable requirements, including data quality requirements.
Lead the Data Operations workstream in the rollout of a global investment management platform.
Organising our Service Desk and delivering SLAs, including the management of agent rotas and the assignment of incidents and tasks.
Lead documentation strategy, selecting the right tools and formats (E.g. SOPs in the Wiki and Group drive).
Gather, document, and maintain comprehensive knowledge of data usage, data sources, and data lineage within the asset management department.
Operate our data management platforms daily ensuring data quality for all data domains under responsibility (financial instruments, company data, ESG data, market data, etc.)
Partner with technical data stewards to ensure the implementation of data quality requirements across data pipelines and systems.
Collaborate with Data Integration and Data Quality teams to develop and maintain data standards, policies, and procedures.
Monitor data quality and resolve data-related issues promptly, ensuring adherence to data governance practices.
Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures.
Participate in data-related projects and initiatives, providing input and expertise to ensure successful outcomes.
Provide training and support to end-users on data-related tools, systems, and processes.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data management and asset management.

The Asset Management Data Ops Team Lead should fulfil:
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Data Management, Information Systems, or Business Administration. A masters degree is a plus.
At least 5 years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related field in the asset management industry. ALADDIN and/or SimCorp Gain/Dimension knowledge is a big plus.
Strong understanding of data management principles, data quality concepts, and data governance frameworks such as DAMA.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify data-related issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Familiarity with data integration technologies, ETL processes, and data profiling techniques.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering accurate and reliable data.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
Certification in data management or related areas (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) is a plus.
