Job Title: Senior AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Madrid (Hybrid Las Rozas Office)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our cloud transformation team. The successful candidate
will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure on AWS to support mission-critical
applications and ensure high availability, scalability, and security. This role requires a hands-on professional with deep
expertise in cloud architecture and DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture Design: Design and implement robust, secure, and scalable AWS cloud solutions.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS
CDK.
Automation DevOps: Automate infrastructure deployment and management via CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins,
GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
Security Compliance: Apply best practices for cloud security and ensure proper identity and access management
(IAM) configurations.
Performance Optimization: Monitor cloud usage and optimize resources for cost-effectiveness and performance.
Monitoring Logging: Set up and maintain monitoring systems like Amazon CloudWatch, Prometheus, and ELK Stack
(Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
Incident Response: Respond to and troubleshoot outages and critical issues, ensuring system resilience and uptime.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to enhance the AWS
environment and share best practices.
Required Experience
5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, with at least 3 years specializing in AWS environments.
Proven track record in designing and managing cloud-native applications on AWS.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, Route 53, ALB, etc.
Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and scripting (Bash, Python).
Good understanding of networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, security groups, and VPNs.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
Strong grasp of cloud security practices, IAM policy management, and compliance frameworks.
Desirable Skills
Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
Knowledge of additional monitoring tools or custom dashboard creation.
AWS Certification(s) (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
