Our global Cyber Security organization, headed by the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), has the task of protecting BASFs IT and OT systems from hacker attacks and ensuring information security. We reduce the expected threat level with our strategic and operational activities. With dedicated projects we significantly increase the maturity of cyber security in the entire organization.
We aim to secure the digital transformation in a sustainable way while supporting our customers and stakeholders as partners. It is our goal to enable and support the business by empowering employees to work in a secure way without unnecessary barriers and by raising awareness on information protection.
You will be a part of our product family Cyber Engineering Identity and Access Management (IAM) Solutions which manages the digital identity lifecycle, offers BASF-wide standard authentication and authorization services, and provides solutions related to data and device security.
The Device Data Security Team finds, designs, implements and continuously improves security solutions to constantly mitigate cyber security threat scenarios on workplace devices and mobile phones for BASF to a well-balanced level.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide hands-on support to the team in security engineering activities.
- Implement and manage endpoint security solutions, including EDR and antivirus technologies.
- Automate tasks to enhance security processes and improve reporting efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related fields.
- Proficiency in IT security principles and practices. Equivalent experience in BASF cyber-security roles such as cyber-security champion, risk observer, or officer of automation security is also considered valuable.
- Strong analytical skills to accurately identify issues, develop viable solutions, and present them effectively.
- Agile mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and adaptation in a dynamic technological environment.
- Proficiency in English is essential knowledge of German or Spanish is advantageous.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or PowerShell and AI APIs is considered an asset.
