Android Senior Mobile Developer
We are looking for a Android Senior Mobile Developer to be part of our Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team.
Position Snapshot
- Location: Nespresso Hub, Barcelona. Spain.
- Type of Contract: Permanent.

The Role:
By joining Nestlé Nespresso Digital and Tech Team, you will be working on the mobile technology powering the Nespresso business. You will work in a direct-to-customer context with significant volumes and traffic and a very rich feature offering, being part a of large development organization with direct impact to the online business.
As a Senior Android Mobile Developer, you will be part of the team responsible for designing, building, and evolving the foundational framework that powers Nespressos mobile applications. This role sits at the core of our mobile ecosystem, supporting both eCommerce and IoT contexts across the Android platform.
You will contribute to shared modules, promote architecture best practices, and ensure consistency, security and scalability across apps built by multiple agile squads. Youll work closely with technical leads, architects, and product teams to craft a performant, modular, and secure SDK that accelerates the delivery of high-quality Android experiences for millions of Nespresso customers.
In This Role, You Will:
- Work with modular codebases and shared module versioning strategies.
- Develop, maintain, and evolve shared Android modules using Kotlin and Compose.
- Implement modular and scalable reactive architecture aligned with the Nespresso Mobile standards.
- Collaborate with other Android developers and architects to ensure consistency and reusability across apps.
- Integrate with backend systems using Nespresso Backend systems.
- Support development product teams by providing reusable components, utilities, and guidelines.
- Work with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Fastlane, Gradle and Firebase and Play Store beta testing tools to ensure smooth testing and release processes.
- Ensure high quality and performance through code reviews, unit testing, and integration tests.
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience and effective communication in English.
- 5+ years of Android development experience using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Strong knowledge of MVVM, modularization, and reactive patterns with Coroutines.
- Experience with Android CI/CD (Gradle).
- Familiar with static analysis tools like Lint and best practices for Android performance and security.
- Ability to design libraries and SDKs used across multiple apps and teams.

- Experience working in international, cross-functional teams with Agile methodologies.
- Comfortable working in Agile squads with CI/CD processes and shared Git repositories.
- Passion for creating frameworks, improving developer experience, and enforcing consistency across apps.
