What will you be doing?
- Design and implement microservices-based architectures using Python and modern frameworks like FastAPI.
- Build APIs following OpenAPI specifications and manage inter-service communication via REST and gRPC.
- Containerize applications using Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services, configmaps, secrets), and deploy in cloud environments.
- Collaborate closely with AI Engineers to expose ML/GenAI models as scalable, production-ready services.
Location and work model
This position is based in Madrid and follows a hybrid work model, combining remote work with in-office collaboration to foster team synergy.
You must reside in Spain and have a valid work permit.
Responsibilities and technical requirements
Must-Have:
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Strong Python development skills and solid understanding of backend architectures.
- Proven experience with FastAPI, REST/gRPC, and OpenAPI standards.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization workflows.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes: pods, services, deployments, configmaps, secrets.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices: version control, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
- English proficiency at B2/C1 level.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools: GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Terraform, CDK.
- Exposure to AI/ML/GenAI services and deploying ML models as APIs.
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services).
