We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer (Kotlin) to join the global Loyalty Development team, responsible for building and evolving products related to Loyalty Customer Data.You will be involved in designing and developing scalable, cloud-native solutions that deliver personalized customer experiences across different channels and touchpoints.Your main responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Kotlin.
- Building and managing scalable infrastructure with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Working in GitOps environments using Flux.
- Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly BigQuery, GKE, and PubSub.
- Integrating APIs and ensuring code quality through automated testing using Kotest and Testcontainers.
- Collaborating actively within agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes, architecture, and engineering best practices.
What will you need to fit in it?
4+ years of professional experience as a Backend Software Engineer.
- Strong experience with JVM technologies, ideally Kotlin and its ecosystem.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with, or interest in, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.
- Familiarity with GitOps practices and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
- Experience working with cloud services, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of API integration and management.
- Ability to thrive in international teams and collaborative environments.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- English proficiency sufficient to work effectively in a global environment.
