Infrastructure Engineer
Global Collaboration Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with global infrastructure teams to define, enhance, and deliver core infrastructure services.
Engage with regional and global teams to understand requirements, usage patterns, capacity trends, risks, and business impacts.
Actively participate in virtual global teams to ensure proactive progress and alignment across all infrastructure topics.
Planning, Design Delivery
Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of core services and infrastructure projects.
Support other teams where infrastructure expertise is required.
Ensure solutions are consistent with business goals, IT standards, and risk tolerance.
Develop and support technical implementation plans covering design, build, integration, testing, and readiness activities.
Reliability, Performance Governance
Ensure infrastructure platforms meet expectations for availability, capacity, continuity, and security.
Identify risks impacting project delivery and collaborate to provide mitigation options.
Drive continuous service improvement by identifying performance gaps across infrastructure services and suppliers.
Testing, Validation Quality Assurance
Ensure systems and platforms are appropriately tested, verified, and validated before going into production.
Support testing phases involving business stakeholders when required.
Operational Support Incident Management
Act as an escalation point for Tier 3 incidents, providing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Resolve day to day operational issues and provide second tier support to end users as needed.
Monitor, maintain, and support the ongoing health of core infrastructure services.
Ensure effective management of the global ticket queue with timely response and resolution.
Transition to Operations
Ensure new services are properly transitioned into operations, including policies, procedures, and training materials.
Assist in transitioning database services, platform administration activities, and disaster recovery plans into operational support.
Documentation Knowledge Management
Produce and maintain documentation related to infrastructure configuration, processes, mappings, and service records.
Keep all knowledge artifacts accurate, up to date, and accessible to the relevant teams.
Availability On Call Duties
Provide out of hours support when required for critical tasks.
Participate in future on call rotations depending on operational needs.
High-impact role within a global infrastructure environment
Exceptional technical growth and exposure to enterprise technologies
At least 4 years of experience with Windows Active Directory environments (strong Group Policy experience).
At least 4 years of experience with core network service administration (DNS, DHCP, PKI).
Knowledge of Azure IaaS, AWS IaaS, High Availability, Azure Virtual Machine (Nerdio), Windows Virtual Desktop, clustering, service resilience, and distributed systems.
Experience with DevOps scripting languages (Terraform, Ansible).
Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python).
Proven knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 Enterprise, MFA, Self Service Password Reset, Conditional Access, Intune Policies, Azure AD Hybrid Join.
Knowledge of Azure AD Connect and Azure integration.
Strong experience with enterprise backup applications (e.g., Commvault) and enterprise monitoring solutions (e.g., CheckMk).
Experience working within a large global organisation and maintaining a global network.
Experience supporting and delivering infrastructure projects at enterprise scale.
Strong troubleshooting skills across multilayered environments.
Familiarity with best practices in capacity planning, performance tuning, and platform management.
Knowledge of operational processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Release).
