You Are:

The Mainframe Ecosystem Solution Architect is responsible for supporting sales and delivery phases of complex client transformation initiatives focused on modernization within legacy mainframe environments. This role drives proactive opportunity origination in collaboration with Market Development Directors and Client Account Leads, creates awareness of Accentures mainframe modernization capabilities, and acts as a trusted technical advisor for clients undergoing large-scale core system transformation.

The architect serves as a dedicated point of contact for mainframe modernization topics, working closely with internal delivery teams, ecosystem partners, and client stakeholders to design and execute modernization strategies that reduce technical debt, improve agility, and enable digital transformation. (30 client work 30 Asset Development 30 Origination activities)

The Work:

Support pre-sales, solution shaping, and early delivery phases of mainframe modernization opportunities.

Proactively originate and shape modernization opportunities in collaboration with client account teams and market leadership.

Define and communicate mainframe modernization strategies, including re-hosting, refactoring, re-engineering, and hybrid coexistence approaches.

Design end-to-end target architectures that integrate legacy mainframe systems with distributed platforms.

Act as a thought leader on mainframe modernization, contributing to internal enablement, client workshops, and executive-level discussions.

Collaborate with ecosystem partners (e.g., IBM, modernization tool vendors) to define joint solutions and go-to-market motions.

Provide technical guidance on risk management, migration sequencing, data modernization, and operational resilience.

Support governance and quality assurance during delivery, ensuring alignment with agreed architecture and business outcomes.

Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100 depending on business need and client requirements.

Heres What You Need:
- A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience experience in Mainframe Modernization and integration with the Hybrid Cloud and use of Linux One + Integration with Public Cloud platforms, covering both functional and technical aspects with hands on experience in the Modern Mainframe versions (16 and 17).
- Minimum of 7 years experience supporting pre-sales, solution shaping, and early delivery phases of mainframe modernization opportunities.
- Minimum of 5 years experience designing end-to-end target architectures that integrate legacy mainframe systems with cloud-native and distributed platforms.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associates Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience
