Mobile Software Engineer
Role Barcelona onsite - 3 days at office / 2 days at home

We are seeking an experienced Developer to join Unified Trials. Were leading in developing software to connect patients with medical trials. Unified Trials has more than 25 software engineering teams in multiple locations: Sweden, UK, Bulgaria, USA and Spain. This role will be instrumental in the development, maintenance, and scaling our IoMT integrations.
This is what you will do:
Mobile software engineer will be a key role in the Unified Trials App. This individual will be the Android and iOS developer and subject matter expert for native developments. The candidate will promote and champion mobile practices at Evinova and help enable software engineering best practices in the Unified Trails App.
Requirements for the role are as follows.
Must have:
- Computer Science or similar degree
- More than 5+ years of Software development experience
- More than 3+ years of iOS and or similar experience in Android
- Fully comfortable working with Kotlin and/or Java and Swift
- Solid computer science foundations: algorithms, data structures, concurrency and threading.
- Strong knowledge of iOS API capabilities at different levels, framework components and lifecycles
- Knowledge of open-source and commercial libraries commonly used in the Android ecosystem, including Android architecture components, jetpack libraries, okhttp, retrofit, dagger.
- Good understanding of Software Design Patterns Object-Oriented Programming
- Ability to write outstanding unit and integrations tests
- Experience publishing apps through Google Play
- Worked with the version management tool GIT
- Devops mindset with GitHub Actions or similar
- Enthusiastic using agile methodologies: scrum, kanban or xp
- You have a user-focused mindset.
- You enjoy collaborating and pairing with other software engineers.
- You welcome feedback from your peers and act upon it.
- You are comfortable working with a global team, cross cultures and communicating in English
Good to have:
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) is a plus - especially for sharing code across Android, iOS, and other platforms efficiently.
- React Native mobile app development and experience with component-based front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Vue etc)
- Worked with language translations and right-to-left languages
- Participation in open source projects
