Spain IT Production
Spain IT Production organization consists of CIB ITO ITG IT Platforms and is responsible for providing IT Production services to our Clients in EMEA, ensuring a Digital Market evolution, in a secured and performant environment, and with a reliable quality. IT Production organisation includes Infrastructure services, Telecom Workspace, Production Security and Application Production domains and associated transversal services (CTO Office, Control Tower, PMO and IT Continuity). In Spain, IT Production relies on a Platform with over 400 experts that provide full-stack support services ensuring a secure, stable, standardized, and efficient production.
ABOUT THE JOB
MISSION
As Manager of EMEA Telecom and DATACENTER area, reporting to the Head of the Domain, the applicant will be responsible for the production, monitoring and the engineering of the BNP Paribas European campus network services. The team is in constant communication with the central teams in Paris, for any Architecture, major projects and escalation. The team is also responsible for the implementation and enforcement of the standards to all sites.
You will manage all the campus infrastructure over Europe and Middle East. Oversee the entire Telecommunications infrastructure for BNP Paribas across Europe and Middle East, supporting approximately 60000 users, leading 7 teams with 35 engineers. You will be responsible for delivery seamless, secure and scalable telecommunications for campus infrastructure and POP datacentre services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Infrastructure management:
Manage and maintain physical telecommunications infrastructure, including campus buildings datacentres POPs, technical rooms, communication lines, and network equipment.
Oversee wired, Wi-Fi, and datacentre network infrastructures, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and security protocols.
Supervise network security infrastructure such as firewalls, proxies, DNS/DHCP, and remote access/teleworking solutions.
Supervise telephony services, including IP telephony, mobile telephony for regulated users with call recording, and inbuilding videoconferencing systems
Collaborate with vendors to procure network equipment, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of services and support
Strategic Leadership Team Management:
Set objectives and work plans for 4 department heads, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Monitor projects progress and coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery.
Ensure infrastructure complies with security, capacity, and monitoring requirements
Report service status to Madrid/ Paris Senior management and country managers
Financial Oversight:
Develop and manage the annual budget for telecommunications and datacentre operations.
Supervise procurement processes, including hardware purchases, service provider contracts, and maintenance renewals, in collaboration with regional purchasing teams.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience
Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including routing, switching, and wireless networks.
Demonstrated deep working knowledge and project experience with advisor and design capabilities (HLD, LLD and NIP).
Solid security and in LAN WAN networking knowledge with, at least, +10 years of real technical working experience focused in these areas.
Extensive knowledge hands-on experience in LAN WAN, 2-Tier 3-Tier design
Extensive knowledge experience with all dynamic routing protocols, as well as MPLS, VPLS, VRF
Knowledge experience of wireless RF design, troubleshooting and security.
Strong understanding of enterprise Voice technologies including Kurmi, Cisco/Teams/Unigy and VR, Session Border Controllers and Cisco Call manager
Proficiency in network management tools and technologies, such as network monitoring systems, configuration management, and performance analysis tools.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of network professionals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices, including firewalls, proxy, Infoblox.

Previous working experience as a Network Manager for 5 years
BSc degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field
Experienced on large scale Network projects
Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
In depth knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Analytical thinker and problem solver
Attention to details
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
- ITIL Foundation certificate will be desirable
