WHO WE ARE
South Europe Technologies (SET Iberia) is the IT, Data Operations Shared Service Center of BNPParibas Personal Finance. With delivery centers in Madrid, Lisbon and Porto, we have over 200 employees supporting BNPPPF entities worldwide. Our portfolio includes Applications Management, IT Risks Cybersecurity, Platforms Management, Data Analytics AI, and Operations.
MISSION
As a Kafka Developer you will help build and operate our strategic Event Stream platform based on Kafka, KafkaConnect, ELK and IBMIDR. Youll own day-to-day administration, drive onboarding projects, and design end-to-end data-streaming solutions that align with business use cases across a global footprint.
WHAT YOULL DO
- Own relationships with infrastructure providers and software vendors to implement new Kafka solutions.
- Define best practices for streaming concepts and design appropriate architectures.
- Build monitoring, observability tools and dashboards to ensure cluster health.
- Develop automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines for SLA alerting and releases.
- Support application teams, tune clusters for high availability, performance and scalability, and provide technical advisory.
WHAT YOULL BRING
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka components and KafkaConnect (Source Sink).
- Knowledge of integration tools (IBMIDR, MirrorMaker, Apigee, RESTProxyProducer).
- Strong CI/CD skills (Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform) and Agile mindset.
- Problem-solving, communication, collaboration and proactive attitude.
- Fluent English (B2+) Spanish or French a plus other European languages valued.
