CMDB Governance Specialist
Take ownership of the CMDB framework, including governance models, standards, and policies, ensuring configuration data remains accurate, complete, and ready for audit across all systems and services.
Manage and coordinate the integration of the CMDB with ITSM platforms, monitoring and discovery tools, asset management systems, and automation solutions (such as ServiceNow), ensuring effective data discovery and reconciliation processes.
Enable incident, change, problem, and service management activities by providing dependable configuration data, supporting root cause analysis, impact evaluation, and faster resolution times.
Lead continuous improvements to CMDB processes, data integrity, and reporting capabilities by identifying and implementing enhancements in tools, workflows, and validation controls.
Ensure thorough tracking of configuration activities, working closely with technical, service, and business teams to promote accurate initial data input, regular updates, and high-quality technical documentation.
Guarantee that CMDB practices align with operational resilience standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g., DORA, ISO 27001/20000, FCA, PRA), maintaining strong controls and audit evidence.
Drive stakeholder engagement through regular meetings, workshops, and feedback sessions, offering guidance and encouraging teams to strengthen configuration management practices.
Identify and implement initiatives to improve customer experience and service delivery by leveraging high-quality technical data, enabling proactive issue management, and supporting the rollout of new or enhanced services.

Demonstrated experience overseeing or governing a CMDB within complex IT, managed services, or telecommunications environments.
Strong understanding of ITIL practices, as well as asset and configuration management, with hands-on experience in enterprise ITSM platforms (ideally ServiceNow).
Broad technical knowledge spanning networking, cloud services, firewalls, VPNs, telephony (both traditional and VoIP), Microsoft 365, DNS, hosting, and security solutions.
Excellent analytical and documentation capabilities, combined with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership.
Experience working with regulated or financial services clients, with solid awareness of compliance and audit expectations.
ITIL v4 certification, along with the ability to produce high-quality documentation suitable for audit purposes.
Highly adaptable, detail-focused, and capable of working under pressure while managing multiple tasks and resolving issues efficiently open to traveling when required.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to create audit-ready materials and confidently engage with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
